CINEMATOGRAPHER & STORYTELLER

Israel first picked up a camera in 2015, drawn to photography by a fascination with light and composition. A few years later, while traveling and meeting people with powerful stories, he felt the pull toward cinematography, and hasn’t looked back since.

Originally from Mexico, Israel has lived in Spain, Italy, the U.S., and now Canada. That path shaped not just his eye, but his deep respect for culture, connection, and the power of storytelling. His work is emotionally driven, always aiming to leave something behind with the viewer: an image, a feeling, a shift in perspective.

His recent documentary The Art of Belonging, about muralist Pamela Rojas, reflects the kind of work he values: honest, grounded, and made with care. He’s also collaborated with PPG, The Resilience Project, Conestoga College, and La Cinemafia, always bringing vision, adaptability, and a strong sense of purpose to every production.

Now based in Southern Ontario, Israel finds creative fuel in nature and in the quiet moments most people overlook.

Cinematographer, storyteller, human: this philosophy guides every frame he captures.
